Changing options

To change general options for WebReporter select the Report / Options menu. The following screen will be displayed:

The options dialog also allows you to control the following features

Advanced settings

Enables more detailed settings on some dialogs

Resolve IP addresses to names

Allow names instead of IP addresses to be presented in reports

WARNING: This may cause report generation to take a long time

Fast region lookup

If this option is checked WebReporter uses an internal heuristic to determine region information. By default WebReporter uses DNS and WhoIs lookups to determine region information.

Site index 

If this option is checked WebReporter creates a HTML status page that lists reporting status for all sites. The full file path for the status file is entered in the adjacent field.

Log file

If this option is checked WebReporter will generate a log file. The full file path for the log file is entered in the adjacent field

Password

Enter the name of a password to be used when connecting to the current server.
