WebReporter is made up of a report server, which reads logs files and generates reports, and a client, which allows management of the report server. The client may be installed on a different computer to allow remote administration. Under Windows NT and Windows 2000 the report server will be installed as a service.
To install WebReporter:
The setup program will guide you through a series of steps to install WebReporter.
To install the WebReporter service under Windows NT or Windows 2000, first run the WebReporter client. Select the Report / Options menu to display the program options dialog. Press the Install Service button to install the service. When the service has been installed the Start Service button will be enabled. Press this button to begin running the service. Restart the WebReporter client or select Site / Connect to connect to the service.
